The Digital Transmission Facility

MARSAND, INC. brings a depth of experience to both the planning as well as the installation and technical sides of broadcasting. Over the past 8 years, MARSAND, INC. has led the process of tower inspections and modifications, building planning and electrical specification in preparation for the DTV build-out. Budgets have been developed and implemented. MARSAND, INC. performed the engineering studies to maximize DTV coverage for each of the stations. FCC filings were submitted from this office and approved. And, where applicable, “DTV ready” equipment has been purchased and installed to replace damaged or outdated equipment. To date, the following sites have been completed:

· Tulsa, OK – KOKI-DT & KTFO-DT
Installed two 42kW digital average dual IOT transmission systems. One with a simple DTV mask filter, and one with N-1 sharp tuned combining filter for collocation, dual channel transmission. Installation, alignment, check out and proofs were completed by Marsand.

· Shreveport, LA – KMSS CH33/CH34DTV
Dual band antenna, waveguide and N+1 combining filter have been installed to facilitate the addition of CH34 DTV to the currently operating CH33 NTSC.
